Visit Conwy Feast for a Food, Music and Arts Extravaganza

October is always busy with events in North Wales. This year is no different with Conwy Feast, especially if you love good food and music.

There are also several walking events throughout autumn when the countryside is cloaked in beautiful gold, copper and yellow colours.

Gwledd Conwy Feast  – 21 to 23 October 2016

What better place to hold a huge food festival than a medieval castle set in the grounds of its own walled town, dating back to the 13th century?  You can enjoy 3 nights and 2 full days of making merry at Conwy, from the castle to the quay.

Commencing on Friday evening 21 October, there will be a fantastic display of fireworks. Then you can make your way down to the quay for some street food or just follow the sound of music to find the party!  Several live bands will be playing in the music and beer marquee. If you are looking for a little sophistication visit the cocktail bar next to the marquee.  You’ll be able to enjoy “Welsh cocktails” or if you prefer, a bottle of bubbly.

The mussel season will have begun in Conwy having been collected in the same way for 4 centuries. They are raked in manually from small fishing boats and have a distinct taste that is well known in the area. Try some, they are delicious.

Trees, Bees & Farming Marquee

If you have green fingers (or would like to have) this marquee is a must visit! You’ll be able to learn from the Welsh National Botanic Garden staff how to grow vegetables and fruit.  A new initiative (Incredible Edible Conwy) is going to be launched at the Feast.  This involves cultivation of edible flowers, fruit and vegetables in public areas around Conwy. Anyone will be able to harvest the produce when it is ripe. Children will love the live farmyard animals in this Farming Marquee too!

Conwy Feast is a wonderful family event with fabulous food and entertainment. It’s an annual event that attracts thousands of people from all over the UK. Find out more about it and buy tickets to the event by visiting the Conwy Feast website.

As an owner on Sirior Bach Caravan Park, it is only a short distance to this popular party and guaranteed to be a memorable part of your Autumn break.  If you are not an owner but would like to be, visit our exclusive country estate while you are in the area.
