3 things to do in North Wales for under £10

3 things to do in North Wales for under £10

If you are spending this Bank Holiday weekend at your static caravan holiday home the weather forecast is not great. Umbrellas and wellies may be the order of the day!  So we’ve come up with 3 things to do in North Wales and they’ll cost less than £10 per person unless of course, you want to spend more.

Airworld Aviation Museum
If you have an interest in wonderful flying machines this museum located at Caernarfon Airport, formerly RAF Llandwrog, will definitely appeal. There’s a wealth of aviation memorabilia to see and planes including:

Hawker Hunter F1

BAE Harrier Jet

Hawker Sea Hawk

Westland Whirlwind

D H Vampire

The museum operates as a charitable trust and you’ll have the additional advantage of enjoying spectacular views of Snowdonia on your visit. There is also a café there if you feel like a drink and bite to eat.  Children are welcome.

Entrance fee:  Adults £6.50, Pensioners £5, Children £5 or if under 2 years old free

Redline Indoor Karting
Also located in Caernarfon on Cibyn Industrial Estate you and your children (if they are 8 years or older) can enjoy an exhilarating indoor karting experience closely supervised by professional fully qualified staff.  The 12 karts for adults have 200cc engines and those for children 160cc.

You will be expected to drive responsibly and breaking the rules will lead to speed restrictions being imposed.

There is no need to reserve a place but it’s advisable to do so if you want to guarantee it and avoid waiting.

Prices: £6 will buy you 6 minutes of driving time and you’ll get 10 minutes for £10

Tir Prince Amusement Park
Renowned for great funfair rides, including bungee and go-karts this amusement park is one of the most popular in North Wales and is located in Towyn. It’s a great place to have a day out with all the family and there is much to offer young children with safe rides for them too.

There are a number of cafes and restaurants offering excellent food and drinks at affordable prices, even on the most limited budget.

Prices:
£10 for morning passes which are valid between 11 am and 5 pm
£9 for evening passes valid between 6 pm and close

There are offers available including buying fairground wristbands that allow you unlimited access to certain rides. Expect to pay extra for bungee and go-karts so take this into consideration when deciding on your options. Always inquire about any deals there are before purchasing.

You’ll probably be worn out by the time you get back to your static caravan, especially if you have participated in more than one of the 3 things to do in North Wales, and if you happen to be lucky enough to own a caravan at Sirior Bach you can be assured of a good night’s sleep.
